This founding member of The Urban Landscape has a passion for trying to capture the "forgotten" details of the urban environment around us. Detroit's involvement in Urban Exploration (UE) started when he drove through Detroit, Michigan and was awestruck by the sight of the abandoned  Michigan Central Train Station. After researching the history of the huge disused train station, he was inspired to find, explore, and document other neglected and abandoned locations. Combining a love of photography, an interest in modern history, and a keen and often daring sense of curiosity, Detroit has developed a very artistic and expressive style. Unlike many urban explorers Detroit is very open about what he does and he enjoys introducing newcomers to fantastic and often unnoticed world of The Urban Landscape. Detroit is an avid camera collector and several of his images on TUL have been taken with vintage cameras.  Contact Detroit
